But I`m using minimal cd during install so its a bit tricky to copy the output :/

This is a good way to install, will teach you much.
Why not try another cd to do the install, any linux cd will work for installing gentoo. I like the system rescue cd, is handy to have around for other needs.
Many reasons to use a alternative cd for installation, sometimes for wireless drivers, but the bonus is you get firefox to read the manual and come here and ask questions and can post answers.

lets say you use a ubuntu cd, when you get to the part in the handbook where it says /mnt/gentoo, it will complain that /mnt/gentoo does not exist.

mkdir /mnt/gentoo

done, just follow the handbook as normal, system rescue is gentoo based and will not run into this. At this point, instead of giving up, just boot another cd and chroot back into your install and get er done :D

I have tryed genkernel 4 times and manuel kernelconfig 2 times and it fails every time. I am willing to give Gentoo another try. Is there anyone who can be so kind to help me so I can finish kernel

You're still here! Good. Unfortunately, I have had trouble compiling the latest stable gentoo-sources kernel as well. My recommendation is to
  • Get back into the chroot.
  • Emerge the next to latest gentoo-sources kernel. Run
    Code:
    USE="symlink" emerge -v =gentoo-sources-3.2.1-r2

  • Try genkernel again, just as described in the Handbook.
Sometime code with an issue makes it into the stable branch. This is especially troubling for beginners as it should Just Work™ and beginners don't yet have the troubleshooting skills to get past the issue.

Try that and report back. :wink:

Looking through your first log, it seems that you have NFS support disabled in your kernel and BusyBox is trying to build its NFS utilities. Enabling NFS support in your kernel SHOULD fix the issue with genkernel (hint: genkernel --menuconfig all)

@jdhore,

My test build of gentoo-sources-3.2.12 as part of the troubleshooting for this thread did not result in a clean build with Genkernel. Since genkernel uses its own .config, this should not be an issue. After double-checking, I'll be filing a bug.

Since there are (in rough numbers) a zillion different ways a build can fail, it's always important to post error messages. If you're ever going to get through this, you need to do that. In addition to the error messages, please post the output of
Code:
ls -l /usr/src
