I have a server running mysql 5.1.61 version and it appears to be silently crashing anywhere from between 3 hours and a day and a half from when it was started. This has been happening for about a week now. The mysqld.err log does not log anything other than when mysql starts. In my /var/log/messages the only thing I see at the time of the crash is postfix complaining that it can't access the database any more.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

You can switch mysql to be very verbose and maybe you can switch mysql internal loging.

I stumbled upon what appears to causing the crash. I was running the update daemon for tiny tiny rss in a screen session. After the last time I rebooted it, I forgot to start it back up and mysql stayed running. I've rebooted it before without changes, so I think it was either screen or tiny tiny rss as the server has been running for four days without a crash.
