I've got a home network set up. As it stands, I've got dsl coming in through a router, which connects to several computers, including two gentoo boxes, one workstation and one web/mail/file/etc server. I'd like to be able to ssh into each box seperately, but I don't think this is possible using the port forwarding I have in the router.
Is it possible to use the server box as a gateway to achieve this?
I would add a second nic to the server box, which would connect via crossover to the workstation, which would then be assigned to a subdomain of the server via NAT.
So any traffic directed at domain.com would go to the server, but traffic directed to workstation.domain.com would go to the workstation, for example.
Or would both boxes have to be subdomains? _________________ "and if rain brings winds of change, let it rain on us forever..." |
