My Debian box running Apache, PHP, PostgreSQL, mySQL and some other servers had an uptime on 1 year, 3 months, 10 days once.

(I have 2xUPS running)

After 1 year, even Linux needs to be rebooted :P

I start it this morning, and is says:

Quote:

15:33:19 up 232 days, 12:29, 6 users, load average: 0.11, 0.06, 0.07

I decided that modifing the kernel to spoof the uptime was easyer than keeping the computer start it all day long. :)

Yes, I'm a bitch :)

Bah! :)

You're all a bunch of wusses ;) ... Before we had a major blackout here in sweden this year, my faithfull server (running debian since I hadn't heard of Gentoo at that time) had an uptime of about 730 days (which ofcourse was displayed as 303 days since the kernel it runs wraps the uptime counter.

It runs on a 2.2.19 kernel with:
- Apache
- PHP
- MySQL
- CourierIMAP
- Exim SMTP
- Public Anonymous FTP 8O (very handy when someone needs to send a file too big for email)

All of this runs in a lowly Pentium 200 MMX with 64MB memory. And hadn't the UPS finally given in after about 2h's lack of power, it would be closing in on 340 (+427 = 767 8) ) days now.

On my gentoo workstation at home:

Code:

15:07:18 up 6 days,  7:55,  3 users,  load average: 0.17, 0.15, 0.18

...and my FreeBSD firewall/router

Code:

15:09:18 up 57 days,  10:31,  1 user,  load average: 0.13, 0.11, .17

...was 121 days in a row before power failure :( [/code]

There isn't a problem that I can't solve with more of your money

Please follow up to: post your uptime output

For more on uptime, please see the following duplicate threads: What's your uptime?, Milestone - Uptime: 100 days, and What's your uptime? Please note that the two topics with the same title are one and the same.
