Very n00b question about adding e-mail accounts

I have created a new user but I am currently trying to setup their e-mail to work. What do I ahve to do to 'enable' their account?

I am using Postfix and IMAP

A little more information on what you are exactly trying to do would be helpfull.

Have you read the desktop guide, mail server section?

Generally you don't have to do anything. Valid users on an authorised system will have mail delivered to /var/spool/mail buy a functioning MTA.

Thanks for the reply. I exemplified my extreme n00bness by failing to create .mail folder for the user........
