|
|
I'm trying to set up additional keys to be used as aliases/relays for the two navigation key blocks. The main reason why I'm doing this is because I use a range of different editors when working and I'd like to decrease the amount of movement between the alphanumeric keys and the navigation keys.
I'd like to be able to use a combination like this: AltGr + E = Up, AltGr + D = Down, AltGr + S = Home etc...
I'm running fluxbox, but I don't think I can simply use the keys-file for this. Also I'm constantly switching between two different keyboard layouts, so it needs to independent of these in some way.
Any ideas on where to start/look would be greatly appreciated |

Ok so I tried this with xmodmap.
Code: | xmodmap -e "keysym e = e E Up Up Up Up" |
This doesn't seem to work. I tried any modifier-key combination and the e-button still does not produce an Up key press.
If I only map e to Up it works, but I don't want a complete remap as it just replaces the letter e with Up. |
