It sounds like upstream broke the tree again. You should talk to them about this. |

Is there any particular reason why you are using sys-boot/grub-9999? |

I have two OS on my computer, the other is Windows 7, when I was using grub 0.97, it doesn't work, it was skipped, nothing shows and Windows 7 is boot straightly, I'am sure that i have installed grub corrently, /etc/fstab and /boot/grub/grub.conf has no mistakes.
I reintalled the whole system and try a grub2, I'm a new user of Gentoo, and i don't know how to install grub-1.99-r2, so I can only use grub-9999. |

I have a weird problem where mount says / is /dev/sda1 but the size, etc is /dev/sdc1
I was hoping grub2 would fix that.
Sometimes /dev/sdb1 fails to automount on boot (but the system thinks it is mounted).
It would nice if grub2 fixed that also. _________________ AMD FX6100 CPU, 16 GiB RAM, OCZ Vertex 3 SSD

That is not grubs fault.
Use to set the boot flag on the boot drive you want.
Also set the bios to boot that disk first.
I assume you want to boot the one with grub and then have it handle booting the others.
What disks do you have and what is on each.
Also post your /boot/grub/grub.conf _________________ AMD FX6100 CPU, 16 GiB RAM, OCZ Vertex 3 SSD

I did set the boot flag, but now it is solved.I think it is the fault of these disk tools on Windows...
After i delected all the partition and correct it with fdisk, all is well now. |
