Whenever I try to emerge -av ibus, this error is returned:

I tried adding this into my /etc/portage/package.keywords file:
| Code: | | # echo "~x11-base/xorg-server-1.11.4" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords |
However, the "blocking package" message is still returned. I'm not really sure if adding that line is at all related to the problem though. What could any potential problems be?

I only needed to upgrade xorg-server to resolve the issue:

HI,
Actually, the current version of xorg-server in portage is 1.11.4-r1. Which version are you running? From your post, it seems you are running the previous version. Have u tried to upgrade xorg-server?

Thank you, upgrading xorg-server allowed me to merge ibus. |
