So, I got up to emerging kde-meta and it went well until I got this error.

Code:

ERROR:dev-python/.PyQt4-4.9.1 failed (configure phase):
(no error messages)

Call stack
ebuild.sh line 85:Called src_configure
environment line 4967: Called python_execute function '-s' configuration'
environment line 3262: Called configuration
environment line 4952: Called die
The specific snippet of code:
        "${myconf [@]" || die;

So then it told me to emerge --info '=dev-python/PyQt4-4.9.1'
Here's the output
Code:

Try this first:
Code:
echo "dev-python/PyQt4 sql webkit" >> /etc/portage/package.use

If another package conks out with the same error then remove the above with:
Code:
sed -i.bak 's/dev-python\/PyQt4 sql webkit//' /etc/portage/package.use

Then add the use flags to /etc/make.conf
Code:
echo USE='"'\$USE sql webkit'"' >> /etc/make.conf

Hopefully that will do it.

Good luck

Code:
emerge dev-python/sip

Also if you added the use flags to /etc/make.conf then remove it
Code:
sed -i.bak 's/USE=\"\$USE sql webkit\"//' /etc/make.conf

So, the good news is that it works. THe bad news is that it now says
"Failed to emerge kde-misc/kwebkitpart-1.2.0"
Actually, i forgot to delete the previous USE flags but after I did, it worked.

Problem now, is that consolekit does not work....

I tried starting it with startx but that didn't work because of something with x11 so I tried emerging xdm and it failed to fetch x11apps.

So, any ideas on where to go from here? Thanks

Which version of python are you using at the moment? I had a similar problem recently and switching to 2.7 and 3.2 and then running python-update solved the problem. I am not sure if it will help, but trying won't hurt.

I've added [solved] to my object but I'm not the one who has opened the topic... :?

We have to ask athena810 to do this.

Bye! 8)
