Hi, I'm new here! I must instal gentoo for summer homework.. but I've a question:
I would like to create a new partition for gentoo (in dual boot with windows), but with Gparted I can't create a primary partition, I can do only a new logical partition.
It is possible to install gentoo on a logical partition?
When I'll create the root, boot and swap partitions, I'll do them like logical partitions? |

It's because free space for the primary partition are already elapsed. If you want and can, you may recreate partition table.

Yes, it is.
As an experienced user I don't recommend to do a separate partition for the /boot. Most users don't need it. |
