Getting back to Linux after a long break due to my internship. So... started ebuilding my new system.
I broke udev and repaired it.... but udev-postmount was still red when I would ls /etc/runlevels/default. I removed it from the runlevel.... and can't add it again. How deep in crap am I?
EDIT: After looking at udev-initscripts it appears that it only puts udev-mount into init.d... so are the waters clear? And do I need to add udev-mount to any runlevel? _________________ "Linux is like a wigwam; no windows, no gates, apache inside." |

I dont have any udev-mount init scripts.
I am on sys-fs/udev-164-r2
did you update your config files?
cfg-update -u or
I do have Code: | /etc/init.d/udev-postmount |
in the default runlevel and thats it other than udev in sysinit runlevel.
If you bungled or deleted a configuration file you can use the noconfmem switch in emerge
Code: | emerge -ask --noconfmem sys-fs/udev |
then run you config updater of choice. _________________ Donate to Gentoo |
