Wondering if anyone has seen a patch that adds ALSA support for cs46xx cards in the 2.6 kern. I'M DYING FOR THIS.

It's already there - always has been. I'm using it. What kernel do you have and where are you looking for the module?

Well I see the module under the OSS section, but not under the ALSA section>>PCI

try the last mm2 patch for the 2.6.0-test6 kernel
it is back. In mm1 it was not here |

I heard (havent tested) that if you dont enable gameport support, the number of available soundcards gets halved.

This is correct as of kernel 2.6.0-test6. Previous ones didn't have this 'feature'.
