ditto here, I'm getting exactly the same thing. I'm in the process of re-syncing and re-merging as well... I'll post the results

I've got a pretty standard setup, nothing too fancy. P4 2.4 on an 875 board, running 2.4.22-ck2.

My USE flags are outrageous, however; I like to enable just about everything even remotely usefull on a desktop system :roll:

ok, I just re-synced and re-merged, and got the same thing...

however -- I ran an 'emerge -pv tetex' and saw that the libwww USE flag was set. I'm recompiling now, with
Code:
# USE="-libwww" emerge tetex

should be worth a try -- I'll keep you posted

Code:
 USE="-X" emerge -u tetex

Droopdude, thanks so much, that worked! Can you explain why the error was caused by using X as a USE variable? I know I compiled it last time with USE="X". Once again, thanks!
