we have a dlink 614+ at home, which is configurable only by http.
now, you'd expect a decent http interface from dlink right? right? oh wait no
so here's the problem:
with mozilla/opera it works fine, which is good when im home...but when im ssh'd in from college, i can't reach it through a graphical browser...now ive tried aherm W3m,links,links2,elinks,lynx and all of those had problems displaying the page(links/elinks/links2) or just choked on the link names and the javascript(w3m/lynx)...
so...any console browser suggestions thatd actually handle that excuse-for-a-config-interface ?
or if you have other suggestions as to other ways to remotely configure it, maybe some opensource firmware for dlinks or something |

O.k, I have a D-Link DSL-300+ adsl modem that I have had the same problem with, when remote configuring it I do the following:
Set up squid on the machien the device is plugged into.
On the machine I am using (remote machine), I set up a forward from local port 3128 to remote 127.0.0.1:3128 then in the web browser on the machien I am on set the proxy to 127.0.0.1:3128
Then you just http://dlinksip
I usually do it remotely with Internet Exploiter or Mozilla Firebird. |
