You've got a segfault, which is not good.

Offhand, I would see what happens when you disable fglrx and use radeon. If that works, then it's a driver problem.

You could also try upgrading/downgrading xorg-server and/or the video driver.

(Psst. It's "I don't know", not "I don't", which leaves the reader wondering if the verb police need to hunt down a verb and bring it back in line. :P )

autodetect xorg.conf means that you have no xorg.conf under /etc/X

I'm not sure which you use.

I have tried you advice ,but it doesn' work . So I use the driver "radeon" to replace "fglrx" ,but I still can't use the command "Xorg -configure". However, this time ,"startx" works, three mini windows(maybe twm?) shows up ,but problem is that I can't use mouse and keyboard to exit . I think it is the problem of "Xorg.conf". So, how can I create the file "Xorg.conf" suitable for my computer? Thank you for you great help!

emerge -aC x11-drivers/ati-drivers

we can still help you use Fglrx, all you need is to run it without xorg.conf and post Xorg.0.log here.

Looks like your Xorg uses wrong devices for keyboard and mouse. Check /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see which devices are used. Search for lines like

Quote:

(II) config/udev: Adding input device AT Translated Set 2 keyboard (/dev/input/event2)

Following them should be information of configuring it as keyboard. When I had problem with keyboard and mouse, Xorg was picking up my UVC camera and configuring it as keyboard.

Here http://naiveprogrammer.blogspot.de/2011/01/linux-xorg-configuration.html I've described how I solved this problem. It was also discussed here on the forum, just try searching.
