ho installato da poco xfce4, wm carino e leggero...
Tutto ok fino al momento di andare a fare un "emerge depclean": tutte le dipendenze non vengono protette dal pacchetto base e quindi depclean cerca di cancellarle. ho trovato nel forum un consiglio sull'utilizzo di un utility del portage che controlla l'integrità del db: | Code: | | /usr/lib/portage/bin/fix-db.pl |
bene questa util controlla ed effettivamente mi dice:
| Code: | fix-db: fatal: insufficient data for xfce-base/xfce4-4.0.0
Remove this package's directory from /var/db/pkg to fix this, then start this
script again. If everything worked correctly, you must remerge
xfce-base/xfce4-4.0.0 to not mess up any dependencies. |
Ora... io ho fatto tutto... ma appena riemergo il prob torna. la mia domanda e': posso? e se posso come faccio? (a correggere l'ebuild)
e poi dato che a tutti sul forum 'sto xfce4 funziona non potrebbe essere il mio sys?

esattamente non ho capito cosa ti serve, tuttavia posso dirti che l'ebuild di xfce4 in realtà non installa nulla, ma serve solo per il controllo delle dipendenze. puoi controllare tu stesso nel nell'ebuild

Quello che sospetto io e' che l'ebuild si dimentichi di registrare le dipendenze nel wordfile, infatti sono proprio quelle che vengono disinstallate dal depclean. vorrei trovare la parte del ebuild che si occupa di questo...
Comunque ora provo a riemergere tutto al max le inserisco a mano e mi tengo il prob nel db...
