gcc version people used to compile gnome 2.4 & kde alpha

I'm just running into a number if compile issues whilst running 3.3.1-r4. This didn't seem to be so common before.

I'm thinking of downgrading to gcc-3.2.3-r1 but wanted to see what other people thought etc.

I use 3.3.1.something... No issues here with Gnome-2.4! Go for it!
