Hello,
I have a Intel Core Duo processor and I consulted the kernel settings for it on the Gentoo Linux Wiki (http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Intel_Core).
There it is suggested that I should leave SMT (Hyperthreading) off, while cat /proc/cpuinfo gives me "ht".
My CPU(s) supports hyperthreading, so why should I leave this off? |

Considering it also says to use "Pentium M" for the CPU type, it's probably safe to disregard that page as ancient and invalid. |

Thanks for your response.
Talking about things being ancient and not 'up to date', could you please shine your light on the problem I described here:
