Gnome 2.4 Crash!

Hi all,
I have been enjoying Gnome 2.4 since 4 days.. Suddenly I got into a problem today. I did this and this problem here is reproducible!

I took a snaphot of the desktop and saved it on the desktop. Now The icon of this appears as a thunbmail. When I double click it, Hard disk starts whoooming, the load average in the meters is in red, Processor is consumed fully, and whole desktop becomes unresponsive! Hard disk did not stop till I did a force reboot. Is it any form of trojan? Or any viral script? Embedded somehow in the PNG?

I am confused..Can people try it out and write me if it is same there?

have you tried simply to delete that png? :-)

it sounds simply as a "bad file" - something in the code got fucked-up, and when you try to look at the picture your imageviewer get's confused and fucks up your entire system :-)
