Anyone managed to use Firestarter with 2.6 test 6 kernel? When I run it I get a "not compatible kernel" error. On their website it does say that with version 0.9.2 firestarter works with 2.6 kernels though... |

Well I got it going. (In a round-about kind of way)
I just checked out the latest CVS version, copied the src/util.c file (which was patched for the rpm's) over to the /usr/portage/firestarter-0.9.2.tar.gz package files, re-tar'ed it, digested the new tar.gz file and reemerged the new package file.
Works like a charm. |

yeah I did that too. I took the updated SRC RPM, grabbed the patch that were in it and applied them to the tar.gz. |

he means you have to run the command:
Code: | ebuild name_of_your_ebuild digest |
to create an updated digest file |

in case someone else stumble in this problem as well, no need to do it any more. just emerge 0.9.2-r1 that is automatically patched |
