Hi,
I am trying to emerge -ave system of a armv7a-softfp-linux-gnueabi stage 3 through qemu (host 2600k). The operation got stuck after 50 or so packages when checking for msgmerge, with no other messages. I can give more details in a subsequent message, because I resume the emerge to see what other packages are affected.
I googled for it, but I can't say I found something concrete.
Could somebody please point me to a solution?

re-emerge gettext with USE=-openmp (and set it in package.use) and try again. It worked for me
