I have a promise tx2 raid 2070 controller (fast trak100 tx2), and am wondering what's the best way to go driver wise?
I believe the kernel has a built in driver - I have used 2065 raid hipset b4, but..
Promise has some linux drivers on their webpage, but are listed as for redhat, suse, caldera and some other distros.
is there a package that I can use for gentoo ? like a source module ?
or can I use one of those listed ? (links to others top right)

thanks! |

The drivers on gentoo's boot cd are the most updated. Try using them (pdcraid for the controller and ataraid to support the raid of it).
The drivers on there page are old, and hentoo-sources contains patches form the ac tree which are AFAUK the latest for promisr controllers. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
