Okay guy's sorry to sound like such a newbie but.....
I have been unable to set my keymap variable correctly in rc.conf
I have read the install instructions several time but I am still missing something
I have a generic keyboard and i am in the us
also for some reason my swap is not being activated at boot time
I did create a swap partion on hda2 file type swap
If anybody can help I would really appreciate it
Thanks |

What is your KEYMAP set to right now? Mine is just KEYMAP="us" and it seems to work fine.
For the swap partition, how is it setup in the file /etc/fstab? There should be a line that looks something like this:
/dev/hda2 none swap sw 0 0 |

You might need to format your swap partition |
