This is the first time I have messed with Gentoo, and it has gone great so far. I have my system installed, but I need to figure out what it is saying about my scsi cdrom drives. At bootup the lines go by too fast to do me any good...I can't read that fast :) So, how do I slow it down? I would like to have some kind of user input to allow the system to continue booting. That way I can read what it is doing, hit some key to let it advance some more, read it, hit a key..well you get the picture. So, what do I do at the LILO boot screen to allow me to do this?

Specifically, run this command once your system has booted up. It will show you all the messages that were displayed during boot up, up until when the runlevel scripts started running (you can tell when the runlevel scripts start running when you see a bunch of "OK"s or "failed" messages on the right-hand side).

You may want to pipe the output to "less" or your favorite editor, to make it easier to scroll through all the text.
