|
|
I have /home mounted via dmcrypt (as well as swap) via, in /etc/init.d/dmcrypt:
swap=crypt-swap
source='/dev/sda2'
target=crypt-home
source='/dev/sda3'
This all worked fine until a few days ago. Then I noticed that hours after I had hit the power button to shut down, the computer was still on - screen refresh shows it was stopped at "Unmounting /home"
Since then 1 time it shut down - the rest it locks up and I have to hold the power button in to get it to shut off.
Anybody have any idea?
[edit] Hmmm - last three shutdowns and it unmounted /home..
[edit] OK, the last 4 or 5 shutdowns did not lock up. Will consider it healed until/if it shows up again.
[edit the last] Still shows up sporadically. Restores journal (ext4 on that cryptfs) and I CAN lose data - I have a script that animates my xfce4 desktop background with local weather maps, implemented by having the desktop background point to a symlink (my script animates by changing the symlink target and then calling xfdesktop --reload); after journal restored I'd have the desktop sometimes be blue (symlink target not existing). So far that is the extent of the damage.. |
