Is anyone here using cronic to process output from their crontabs? I'm wondering if it's necessary in real-world scenarios. |

No, I personally wouldn't need it. For me, it's ok to receive raw output if a cronjob goes mad. And, if I need to apply output redirection, I don't do so in the crontab, but in the script itself.
Besides, the subtitle "A cure for Cron's chronic email problem" sounds a bit big-mouthed to me. Especially as the reason is not cron, but badly written shell scripts. _________________ lxg.de – codebits and tech talk |
