Hi,
I cannot make syslinux 5 work... it seems that it does not load the initramfs image, it does load the kernel.
I upgraded the /boot using extlinux --update /boot, I even recreated the boot filesystem.
I could not find any documentation nor changes, except that the ldlinux.sys was split into two, but I do have the ldlinux.c32.
The vesamenu.c32 works after I install the dependencies.
So something was changed in the way extlinux is working.
Downgrading to syslinux-4.06 works correctly, so it is not extliux.conf issue, nor kernel/initramfs issue.
What I do have is very long kernel arguments, maybe this is related somehow... not sure.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Alon |

since it does load the kernel, are you sure this is a syslinux problem?
If you remove the 'quiet' option from the kernel cmdline (assuming it is there already), what's the error? _________________ The End of the Internet! |
