Why is it that Kino works perfectly on 32 bit x86 but doesn't want to write to disk with x86_64? I use Kino to capture from my camcorder via firewire and write 1 GB files to disk. When I try the same thing with X86_64 the second file over writes the first. I have an i7 with 8meg ram.

Oh I just remembered that fslint-gui also doesn't want to write!, You have it? Then try and change the "scan drive" function. So, looks like it maybe a thingamabob issue QT? GTK? |

Sorted! set camera's date and time! The funny thing is that Kino and add timestamp worked perfectly in x86-i686 but not in x86-64. I had a look at dvgrab which is the same family and saw that timesys was available, using that time, filenames and captures worked. aha! I wonder! Set time on camera and viola! |
