Hi All,
Does anyone know of a good web resource that explains how to configure your system with the new linux-2.6.0-testX kernels?
There are a number of issues that I'm trying to fix up that are driving me nuts. eg, ALSA, boot splash, ACPI, USB etc.
If anyone could help, it would be great. Cheers and thanks in advance.
Craig

I'm not aware of any one document.
However, I've got 2.6 working perfectly (as far as I can tell ), so post your questions below and I'll answer 'em as best I can.

This is quite a good document - http://kerneltrap.org/node/view/799
Upgrading to 2.6 is very straight forward, you shouldn't have any problems.

The main thing I'm interested in is how to get the boot splash working. I've included it in the kernel configs and compiled it in, but I don't know how to get it to work.
Is there something I have to add to GRUB? |
