when I write modprobe yenta_socket I get this:

Code:

Linux Kernel Card Services 3.1.22
  options:  [pci] [cardbus] [pm]
PCI: Enabling device 0000:02:07.0 (0000 -> 0002)
Yenta: CardBus bridge found at 0000:02:07.0 [1558:5600]
Yenta: ISA IRQ list 0000, PCI irq5
Socket status: 30000010

this seems right, so I believe I have yenta pcmcia controller or something. then I want to load my isdn pcmcia card:

Code:

lapwakko root # modprobe hisax protocol=2 type=8
FATAL: Error inserting hisax (/lib/modules/2.6.0-test6-mm4/kernel/drivers/isdn/hisax/hisax.ko): No such device

and /var/log/messages contains:

Code:

Oct 10 23:15:56 lapwakko kernel: HiSax: Linux Driver for passive ISDN cards
Oct 10 23:15:56 lapwakko kernel: HiSax: Version 3.5 (module)

Oct 10 23:15:56 lapwakko kernel: get_drv 0: 1 -> 2
Oct 10 23:15:56 lapwakko kernel: put_drv 0: 2 -> 1
Oct 10 23:15:56 lapwakko kernel: put_drv 0: 1 -> 0
Oct 10 23:15:56 lapwakko kernel: HiSax: Card type 8 not installed !

I think the card works, because it finds it in windows and starting pcmcia gives:

Code:

 * Starting pcmcia...
cardmgr[6456]: watching 1 socket                                          [ ok ]

cardctl also works:
Code:

lapwakko root # cardctl status
Socket 0:
  5V 16-bit PC Card
  function 0: [ready], [wp]
lapwakko root # cardctl ident
Socket 0:
  product info: "TELES", "S0/PC", "21", "0000"
  function: 6 (network)

I use nptl so 2.4 doesn't work, and redhat sources doesn't compile. I've been searching for a nptl-patch for 2.4, but haven't found any.
