Does the "soundcore" kernel option still exist ? I can't find it...
An (old ?) alsa guide tells me I have to activate that option in the kernel :

Hi,
When you build alsa support as modules i.e CONFIG_SOUND=m, the resulting module will be called "soundcore",
that's what the article is referring to. However, it's your choice if you want to have alsa built-in or as modules. |
