Well, Gentoo turned out to be the 1 distro that will have my PC 95% of the time running Linux and it works fairly well on my laptop to.
On thing is bothering me though. When I'm not at home (studying or working) I run WinXP on my laptop (for the moment, but due to some small problems and some Win32 dependancies, still necessary) and in my spare time (or not so spare time) I look up software and solutions to problems I still need for the Gentoo installs.
The distfiles repository is accesible with any browser, and I can get to my portagetree aswell, but without the -p -f and -s functionality of emerge I don't know what files I need..
Is there a Win32 tool that does this? Does anybody else get their tarballs in a Win32 environment? Or am I going to get Code: | tar --feather -xvf /me | flame | for this? |
