Hi. I've been using OSS4 for many years, but recently i've got a line6 ux2 and switched to alsa. Most of the stuff works nice, but still i got some annoying issuses..
Code: | Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0e41:4151 Line6, Inc. |
1) Haven't figured a way to set a default soundcard yet..editing asound.conf works..i guess, but card number changes sometimes after system reboot and stuff like "line6.index=2" in kernel parameters doesn't seems to work
Code: | **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: PODStudioUX2 [POD Studio UX2], device 0: POD Studio UX2 [POD Studio UX2]
Subdevices: 0/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: SB [HDA ATI SB], device 0: ALC272X Analog [ALC272X Analog]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 2: Generic [HD-Audio Generic], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 |
Soo..what is the best way to make this soundcard a default one? Editing /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf..? Or it's deprecated already..?
2) OSS emulation doesn't seems to be working. For some reason snd_pcm_oss isn't loading on boot (it was working great like a month ago..). After modprobing it everything seems to be working fine..but still I can't figure out why it isn't autoloading now
3) Sound in chrome (flash or html5) is distorted (maybe thats because of the some kind of sample rate conversion(???)). BUT the fun part is that after running pavucontrol everything starts to sound just great..i got no ideas here..any kind of hint is appreciated
Thanks! |
