I read from this page that there were tuned and ktune program in redhat enterprise linux. (chapter 3.4)
I think it's really good idea!
Having a deamon changes the performance setting dynamically according to your system status. And tuned can be extended by its plugin system.
I didn't find them in portage repository, are they dead? Is there any alternative? |

I find tuned project on github: https://github.com/fcelda/tuned
It's in active development. No ebuild yet.
I hope it could be an alternative to those daemons with specilized function, like cpufreqd, cpudynd, cpuspeed, etc. |
