Calligra ebuild Changelog reads:
Quote: | 30 May 2013; Michael Palimaka <kensington@g.o> calligra-2.5.3.ebuild,calligra-2.6.3.ebuild, calligra-9999.ebuild:Add USE dependency default in preparation for the removal of the semantic-desktop USE flag. Remove semantic-desktop USE flag from testing versions. |
Even for very reduced CALLIGRA_FEATURES 'just krita or sheets) and minimal USE flags, calligra wants me to brings virtuoso-* and nepomuk-*. Does this mean this is as well the end for calligra for those who do not like or need the database thing? |

Thanks for the pointer. I had a look at the Package manager specification, section 8.2.6.4 (https://dev.gentoo.org/~ulm/pms/5/pms.html#x1-820008.2.6) and I don't get the the meaning of the flag(+) in DEPEND, but that's okay I'll wait for the blog post / news about how to disable things at runtime.
