I have an external monitor hooked up to the docking station. It uses a refresh rate of 60Hz. I was wondering how I could increase this and also how I could increase the resolution. the LCD display only supports 1024x768 but, according to the logs, the video card (i815) supports higher resolutions.
Thanks for your help. Google has produced only dead ends. _________________ "The faster you go, the shorter you are." -- Albert Einstein |

you can change your refresh rate with modelines in your /etc/X11/XF86Config
here's a good tool to generate modelines:
