emerge wgetpaste then use it to put /var/tmp/portage/sys-devel/bc-1.06.95-r1/temp/build.log on the web.
Its too big to fit in a post. Tell us the URL it gives you.

CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipes"

should be pipe


And -march=k8 is for AMD K8 processors (Athlon64). A quick search doesn't give me a clue what flag is for Core i processors but you can always use -march=native.

Such a newb looks to be emerging now it was the syntax on the resolv.conf. Thank you for your assistance, guess I was looking at it to long and just did not see it.
