Hello, i was playing around with some settings and tried to get tv-out to work and i got some stuff to work, although now when i try to start X it just says:

Parse error on line 131 of section ServerLayout in file /etc/X11/XF86Config
"vice" is not a valid keyword in this section.

I don't get it, i searched these forums and found some interesting threads but people had the same problem and obviously the solution and/or problem is fairly simple but i can't for my life find the error in my config file, please check them and help me...

My config:
http://xss.najt.nu/stuff/XF86Config

The X-log:

Your config file is borked, I think.

Delete the second to last line... the one about InputDevice "keyboard1" ... and then retype it out manually. I think that should fix it, although I didn't take the time to test it out myself.

Ah too bad, it didnt work...i even tried rewriting the other InputDevice line also and it still said "vice" is not a valid keyword in this section.

Thanks for the answer though! :)

I don't know if this is the problem, but my XF86Config ends with a newline chraracter after the EndSection line which in your case is line 131.... I think that the parser isn't coping well with the EOF also on line 131. So to fix, try adding a newline character to the end of file. Just a shot in the dark. But worth trying anyway.

:D No problems.
I think it's a psychological thing. Since most of the time, whitespace doesn't matter, we tend to forget about it and it becomes invisible. Glad to know that it works now though.
