I want to stop my monitor from going blank while compiling. I havent succesfully installed a window manager yet, so for the time being while I am trying, is there a way to disable it or extend the timeframe? Gets annoying having to go over to the keyboard every so often to bring up the display. thanks |

man xset should give you what you need. The format for your monitor
sleepness is:

i always used setterm -blank 0
