g'day,

i have two internet acoounts so i have them both in my wvdial.conf. along with the appropriate dns' numbers in resolv.conf

however, the first account [dialer default] connects without any problems. the second acoount [dialer d] connects but then almost immediately disconnects with the error message no 16 being cited (modem hung up). duhh!

here is my wvdial.conf. i have tried the [dialer d] with and without stupid mode to no avail.
[Dialer Defaults]
Modem = /dev/ttyS0
Baud = 115200
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ISDN = 0
Modem Type = Analog Modem
Phone = 0198 308 888
Username = myusername
Password = mypassword
Auto Reconnect = yes

[Dialer d]
Modem = /dev/ttyS0
Baud = 115200
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ISDN = 0
Modem Type = Analog Modem
Phone = 0198 333 424
Username = myusername
Password = mypassword
Auto Reconnect = yes
Stupid mode = 1

any ideas anyone why this is occurring?

regards,

glenn :P

This is happening to me as well. Ive searched high and low, through google and everything and the answears i came up with are 1) change to stupid mode 1 2) change to stupid mode 2 3) i have heard a couple of people had some luck with going back to an older version of wvdial, theres some type of bug i think...

Hope this helps,
Pat
