when attempting to install xmms I type "emerge xmms" the emerge process always fails on the avifile package and the mpeg_mmx_template.c file in particluar. On review, that file is not there, and in looking at the most recent source from avifile - the file is in the most recent source. I'm afraid I'm not much more help than that ...
