|
|
I have a Logitech T650 touchpad now. The click and scrolling work now but tap-to-click doesn't work. According to what I found online, it seems to be Logitech's issue and I don't find a working workaround.
Tap-to-click is so important to me that I plan to buy a different device. However, there is little about what device (especially tap-to-click) is working on Linux. So I want to see if anyone has experience with any touchpads that tap-to-click work. I don't want to make blind investigation to find that the one I bought doesn't work.
Thanks so much. |

synaptic touchpad works perfect with xorg-x11. You may customize its timings and gestures. I use single touch for left-click, double touch for right-click and triple touch for mid-click. It works for all of two touchpads that I had used. |

Could you kindly tell me your device brands or models?? I'm asking this because my device (Logitech T650) doesn't support tapping on Linux. You can refer to Logitech forum here. http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Mice-and-Pointing-Devices/T650-tapping-on-Linux/td-p/969401
I know I can configure tapping with X11 and synaptic. But I would like to buy the device that works. I don't want to be in the same situation similar to Logitech T650 again.
