Problema video su laptop

Ho installato gentoo sul portatile. Ha una geforce2 go, all'avvio tutto ok. Quanto starto X, ancora tutto ok (anche con l'accelerazione 3d attiva). Quanto però torno alla shell, si vede male lo schermo, come se non andasse bene la frequenza di refresh, ma non è così altrimenti all'avvio mi avrebbe dato lo stesso problema no ? Inizio a pensare che sia un problema di driver

Nota. questo problema me lo ha fatto anche su 1 portatile identico.
Come posso risolvere ?
