|
|
I'm trying to install and run a counterstrike (half-life) server, but I cannot succeed in starting it!
It always crashes when I try to start it. Anybody know why and, more importantly, how this can be solved? I included the errors and contents of debug.log. I think it might have something to do with glibc (I have 2.2.5-r8 installed and am currently running Gentoo 2.4.19-r10).
Code: |
*Einstein hlds_l # ./hlds_run -game cstrike +maxplayers 10 +map cs_assault
Auto-restarting the server on crash
Console initialized.
scandir: No such file or directory
./hlds_run: line 83: 31979 Segmentation fault $HL $*
Add "-debug" to the ./hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem

./hlds_run: line 83: 31992 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $HL $*

and the debug log:
Code: |
----------------------------------------------
CRASH: Thu Oct 16 19:09:52 CEST 2003
Core was generated by `./hlds -game cstrike +maxplayers 10 +map cs_assault -debug'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

#0 0x4006e9f0 in getenv () from /lib/libc.so.6

On a side note, does anybody know if "scandir" is included in an ebuild somewhere? |

I have the same problem.
Running glibc version 2.3.4.20040808-r1.
If anyone has a clue let us know. _________________ irc.xentonix.net
