I am using XFCE and when I put data dvd or cd into my dvd drive nothing visible happens, I do not see it listed as a device in Thunar or as an icon on my desktop. I can mount it manually (only as root though) doing something like

mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/test/

but I would like the disks to show up in the file manager when inserted. I can see usb drives this way, but not optical disks.

To be clear, I do not want to automount the disks when inserted, I just want them to show up in my list of devices and have an option to mount them by clicking.

I am running up-to-date x86_64 system with udev and do not use any custom rules.

What am I missing?
