Hi all,

I have set up my own rsync server to handle updates on our network. Rsync used to work fine now I get the following in the server logs

Quote:

[rsyncd] rsync: name lookup failed for 192.168.0.3: Name or service not known_

on the client machine it says

Quote:

Error in rsync protocol data stream code 12

Any ideas?

Ok - I fixed it by placing gid = nogid in the rsync.conf file. weird! Didn't need it before.
