after booting and running x, whenever i quite x and back to a console, the repeat delay and repeat rate are set to annoying values - just too slow for me. how can i change them back to their fast response states?
also, in x, how would i change them?
thanks. |

okay - i'll now stop posting while i read. i normally like posting a question and at the same time embark to find an answer. this helps me get a solution rather quickly. however, i'm starting to realize that many questions have already been asnswered - especially on http://www.google.com/linux, which is where i found my answer - kbdrate. doing a man on this solved my problem. |
