Hello all,

Thought I'd re-ask the question, maybe in a slightly more informative manner.

My install fails at the level of

emerge -k sys-kernel/gentoo-sources

For whatever reason, I cannot connect to prep.ai.mit.edu[199.232.41.91]:21 and gdbm-1.8.0.tar.gz cannot be retrieved.

This is a reproducible problem that has been going on for three days.

Is there an ebuild file I can hack to find another source for gdbm-1.8.0.tar.gz?

Thanks.

Bob

You could try changing mirrors with mirrorselect and see if you can download it that way. Or, you could run
Code:
emerge -K gentoo-sources

forcing it to use only the GRP-packages you have on your disc. The latter requires you to have gdbm there, of course.
