Hello everybody and good saturday.
Today I wanto to install gentoo 1.4 so I insert the cd and when I can decide memtest or the kernel from the list I wrote "memtest".
After this select I don't see nothing. The screen was black and I don't kwon if the pc was worked or not. ( 50 minutes )
I do a "manual shoutdown" and now I'm here.
Can yuo help me?

Innovatel,
Try this, it's worth a shot:
memtest nofb
If that doesn't work, try
memtest,nofb
I think that will disable framebuffer and it might help fix your problem. |

The problem was my GForceII MX200 32Mb. We think the ram is defective. When we changed videocard the problem is solved and now we install gentoo.
