Hello everybody and good saturday.

Today I wanto to install gentoo 1.4 so I insert the cd and when I can decide memtest or the kernel from the list I wrote "memtest".

After this select I don't see nothing. The screen was black and I don't kwon if the pc was worked or not. ( 50 minutes )

I do a "manual shoutdown" and now I'm here.

Can yuo help me?

Sorry for my english, it's not very well :(

Bye Bye

Innovatel,

Try this, it's worth a shot:

memtest nofb

If that doesn't work, try

memtest,nofb

I think that will disable framebuffer and it might help fix your problem.

The problem was my GForceII MX200 32Mb. We think the ram is defective. When we changed videocard the problem is solved and now we install gentoo.

thank you a lot.
