i had alsa up and running fine with my gentoo-sources kernel. now i compiled the gs-sources to be able to use win4lin and when re-emerging alsa (to have it work with the new kernel) it always aborts with the following error message:

exact same error using ac and pfeifer sources ... so it shouldn't be the kernel! _________________ never forget: god remains real until declared integer! |

It's a problem with Alsa's configure script. For a fix look at my last post here. |
